Haiku: Fantastical Fort (Snow Series #8)

The snow creates so many opportunities for, frankly, woolgathering and whimsy. When I spied a tiny cave created by a curled leaf, I imagined that wandering creatures like fairies might take advantage of the diminutive shelter to get out of the freezing wind and warm up a bit before continuing on. Safe journeys, my friends.

Haiku: Sinister Sinuousness (Snow Series #5)

Isn’t it strange how, at times, you might spy something from the corner of your eye – an ordinary object or scene – but it evokes an unexpected response? These coils of hose have been sitting in this spot (clearly not very useful in the snow) and haven’t particularly inspiring…until now. I’ll steer clear of this nest during the darker hours.
