Yes, I’m a beginner. Right now, I’m learning to play the recorder, and I’m honing my drawing skills. While it may be uncomfortable (and possibly a tad embarrassing) to realize that a 10 year old can play your chosen instrument far better than you, it should serve as inspiration, rather than a reason to never begin at all.

Musings: Oboe Obsession

I don’t play the oboe…yet. But I haven’t been able to shake the feeling that I should. Resilience: Coming Back From Losses

I continue to practice knitting on needles and find it very enjoyable. Especially exciting is a section in one of my books that provides directions for making different stitches – there are more than just garter and stockinette stitches! In learning new stitches, though, I encountered one that tested my patience.
