Haiku: Seeking Sleep

As I sit, sipping my cup of herbal tea and hearing the downpour outside, I wonder why I’m awake at this hour. Perhaps it’s the “unseasonable” (do seasons still exist?) warmth that interrupted my sleep, or thoughts of the day’s upcoming activities…regardless, I’m chagrined to be awake when I should – and need to be – asleep. My tea now finished, I’ll try to resume my slumber, back with the cottony clouds.

Haiku: Magnificent Moths

Butterflies may not yet have made their appearance, but some moths have…like this softly-colored White-Spotted Sable. Butterflies may get all the glory, but I think you’ll agree that this moth is lovely in its own right.

Haiku: Golden Gosling

Another haiku about the goslings…it can’t be helped because they provide such inspiration! Adorable, friendly, curious, funny – they’re truly amazing babies. And I feel more gosling-related verse coming in the future. 😉

May you find this kind of peace today, too.
