
I recently waxed rhapsodic about one bowl meals, but they really do deserve to be lauded! Another favorite quick meal of mine is tofu scramble. Easy, flexible, and nutritious, it’s a meal I enjoy on a regular basis.

If I could eat nothing but one bowl meals, I think I’d be pretty happy. A mélange of flavors and textures suits me just fine…like in this cabbage and kielbasa bowl.

I was gifted a lovely plant last summer, a vining plant that had beautiful crimson flowers on it. I was amazed at the vibrancy of the diminutive flower’s color. Sadly, over the winter, the vine, which had climbed all over a little handcrafted wooden trellis in warmer weather, died. Or so I thought…

If you haven’t already tried making them, herb wines are fabulous. They’re easy to make and delightful to drink. Mint is one of my favorites and it’s a good way to use up an excess of that prolific plant. I happened to have some Thai basil that was fast approaching becoming past its prime, so I figured why not try a basil wine?

Berry wines are easy (especially when made with frozen berries) and rewarding: they’re – almost without fail – delicious and flavorful. With a big package of frozen organic raspberries as well as a bag of organic frozen blueberries in the freezer, it felt like it was time to start some berry wines!
