Around The Farm: Late-Summer Lepidoptera

As summer draws – reluctantly, it seems – to a close, butterflies and moths are still frolicking among the wildflowers in the pastures. Though I’ll be happy to see the heat and humidity go as we transition to fall, I’ll miss these lovely, carefree creatures. Haiku: Magnificent Moths

Butterflies may not yet have made their appearance, but some moths have…like this softly-colored White-Spotted Sable. Butterflies may get all the glory, but I think you’ll agree that this moth is lovely in its own right.
